BEAUTY MUSTHAVES: HIGH END & DRUG STORE

BEAUTY MUST HAVES

Sorry my posts have been so inconsistent lately, I have been bombarded with exams, and have not found the time, they are finally over! I just wanted to do this post to show you all my beauty must haves, for both high end and drug store products. These are products I love, not necessarily my favourite as most of my favourite make up I wouldn't consider a 'must have' as I only ever use them for special occasions, for example YSL Fusion Ink Foundation is my FAVOURITE foundation, but I would not consider this a 'must have' everyday foundation...

HIGH END

High end wise my favourite brand are Benefit, MAC, YSL, Urban Decay, etc... Theres a lot! So firstly foundation wise MAC Studio Fix is a great foundation for all occasions, I bought Pro Longer to change it up a bit, but my heart is with Studio Fix. We can't forget primers, I have two must haves... for dewy skin, MAC Strobe Cream is amazing and really gives the most beautiful finish for your foundation, or Benefit Professional which helps give an airbrush effect as it minimises pores, and makes your skin so silky and lovely to apply foundation too. Concealer wise can I just express how much I LOVE MY MAC PROLONGER CONCEALER IN NC15, I love a super light concealer under my eyes no matter where I go, and this is perfect, it is the best concealer I have ever used, I have used Studio Fix Concealer but it is no where near as good Pro Longwear.  Blusher wise Dior Rosy Glow is a MUST HAVE, the blush alters its finish to your skin tone through your skin oils, but is really a lovely pale pink, so fab for everyday, though I use it all the time. However, if your looking to get a blush, bronzer and highlight in one go the Naked Flushed Palette is something I reach for everyday, I even use it for my eyes when I have nothing on me, I use the highlight as a lid colour, and the bronzer in my crease! Eyes wise you'd be a fool not to buy from Urban Decay, I spent over £60 on a MAC Palette and it is NOTHING on my NAKED Palettes, they are truly amazing! Mascara wise you need Benefit Roller Lash in your life, it is the most amazing mascara... Finally, BROWS! Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade is amazing, you dip your brush once it does the whole brow SO perfectly, I can't express how much I love this product, my holy grail, I can't ever see another product replacing it. Can't forget lipsticks, YSL Rouge Volupte 13 and MAC Kinda Sexy and Shangai Spice are my favs!

DRUG STORE
My favourite brand drug store wise is Rimmel, mainly because there is so many different products I like, but I haven't really explored all drug store brands like I have Rimmel, I really need to try a L'oReal foundation, so many people love it. My favourite foundation drug store wise is Rimmel Wake me up! It never fails, I wouldn't say it is as reliable as my MAC Studio Fix but can I really complain at just under £7? I used this foundation everyday when I was at college, it's a great inexpensive foundation for everyday use, I don't believe in wasting expensive foundations on days to college or a bit of make up for the sake of it. Concealer wise I LOVE LA GIRL COSMETICS, you have to try this amazing, inexpensive brand! I use this concealer everyday! Blusher, I love my Milani Blushes these are not available in the UK, neither is LA Girl, but you can get them anywhere online, I always go to LA-Belle UK. Eye shadow wise I LOVE Maybeline Colour Tattoos, L'oReal Infallible's and Sleek Palettes, the Maybeline Tattoos are literally MAC Paint Pots, they are amazing. I have also been loving my Make Up Revolution Pallette, I am dying to try more from this brand! Bronzer wise I love my Sleek Contour Kit you get a highlight, and a bronzer which is such a good shade and comes out so perfectly on the skin, a handbag must have! Mascara wise all Rimmel Mascaras have my heart, but Scandal Eyes is my favourite, I use to love Sexy Curves. Now BROWS, Sleek have a Brow Kit similar to Benefit Browzings, I have heard nothing but good things but never tried myself, my favourite has got to be Maybelines Eyebrow Pencil, I can't exactly remember the name, but it is fairly new, you scroll it up instead of sharpening, and it has a little dabber to blend the front out, how perfect. Lipstick wise my absolute Holy Grail is Rimmel Moisture Renew 700 it goes everywhere with me, everywhere!

What High End and Drug Store Products are your favourite? I'm dying to explore the High Street more for Fab Products...

WHAT I BOUGHT IN THE ZARA SALE

WHAT I BOUGHT IN THE ZARA SALE

Okay, I have seriously been neglecting my followers on my blog and instagram, I was swamped with revision due to exams, but thankfully my exams are over now, and just in time for the ZARA sale. So, I woke up and early and got to ZARA half hour before opening, sad I know, but as we all know, there is nothing more frustrating then loving something you can't buy because it is not in your size... I was not going to let that happen to me!
There is still so much more I want in ZARA, of course, but I had enough will power to finally leave. I absolutely adore everything I bought, and am so happy I got everything I planned to get!

First, I got this Pixelated Coat which is GREAT for summer, it is a lightweight jacket, with such a beautiful, summery print. I have been lusting over this coat for so long now, and I got my hands on it for £60 down from £80!

Next, I bought this Green and White Coat, which is a little thicker then the previous jacket, but still lovely for a British summer, I think when you live in England you always need to consider something a little thicker in the summer time, because our weather is so unpredictable, but still with a nice summery print to remain in-season and on-trend. I adore this coat, it looks so fab on, and was also eyeing this up before the sale, and this was just £40 from £60!

I finally bagged myself a pair of frayed jeans, which I have been looking for for sooo long! I didn't want a pair of ripped jeans, just ones with little frays in, and these were perfect from £29 to £19! Another thing I got bottoms wise was this beautiful Tweed White Skirt, which I have loved since I see Billie Fiares wearing it! I bagged this beauty for £20 for £30...

It does end soon, I promise! Next I got this cute Mustard Top for just £12.99 which I think is amazing, and would look great with some black skinnies and some gold jewellery. It such an effortless, easy to wear, comfy top, I see it as a must have for this summer!

FINALLY, I bought this cute tee which was around £15 and I always tend to pick up these little sweater, tees in the sale, because they go down to so cheap, and are so wearable and comfy! I did buy a few different ones, but I'd just be showing you the same old thing, so here is one of my favs.

I'll be doing at least one post everyday for you guys from now on, as I am off for the summer, so the blog dedication shall begin!

SKIN MAGIC TEA REVIEW

SKIN MAGIC TEA FROM YOURTEA

I was contacted by YourTea a couple weeks ago, asking if I wanted to try any teas to review... The growing use of tea's for things such as diets, have really interested me, however I wasn't looking to loose weight so thought it would not be for me. I had a look on their website and found that there was so much more then just tea designed for weight loss, and the one that really attracted me was the Skin Magic Tea, I also like the look of the Sleep Tea and Happy Tea, but one at a time Aimee.

The tea contains Aloe Vera, Liquorice Root, Lotus Seed Heart, Jasmine, Chinese Red Tea, Bai Xian Pi, which are all natural ingredients, so there are no chemicals to be worried about. I am not an expert when it comes to want remedies are best for your skin, but I know Aloe Vera is known for giving you great skin. It claims to assist with acne, cystic pimples, eczema, hormonal skin, uneven skin tone, assisting digestion, but for those looking for a brighter complexion it also assists with things like that.

My skin type is relatively normal, I get occasional spots, but never really have dry or oily skin, it's pretty normal. I wanted this tea to prevent any spots I could get, and in the hope it would give me a healthy glow, and just make my skin feel a little more fresh. Also, I have quite high pigmentation in my skin, I am very pale so it shows a lot more without make up, but my skin can go very red at times,  I usually get it at night but never really go out with no make up on as it is like an unpredictable rash, but I have noticed I no longer get that. I have been using this for a week now, in routine with other products, and my skin looks and feels amazing. I will be doing another post on all my skin care favourites, but just wanted to go into this products a little more in a whole post.

You are suppose to have this either half hour before or after a meal, which basically means you must drink on an empty stomach, I usually have one in the morning and before I go to bed, but sometimes the morning is a rush so I just have it at another time, as long as you have an empty stomach. I find it wakes me up in the morning, and helps me sleep at night, I am really loving this tea. For just over £20 you get 60 tea bags, so 2 everyday for 1 month, compared to other prices for teas I have seen, this is a steal!

Taste wise, it is very bland, it is nothing unbearable, just bland. It suggests adding a bit of lemon, or a bit of honey, and I recommend to do so. I actually quite enjoy the taste with a little bit of honey. All around it is a healthy tea, it specialises in skin care mainly, but it cleanses your blood, and is favourable for the digestion system, however there are a range of teas to choose from... Happy Tea is next on the agenda for me, although I am loving my glowing Skin Magic results!

OUTFIT OF THE NIGHT

PERFECT S/S OUTFIT FOR A FANCY DINNER

As you know from my previous post, I went to Sheesh Chigwell last night, if you haven't heard of it, it is a famous Turkish restaurant near where I live (in Essex) and every time you go you are just surrounded by people in the most fabulous clothes, it is  dressy occasion (the food is too die for btw!)

I paired a Lace Crop Top from YourWardrobe (on Instagram) with a pair of White Flared Trousers, which I was preparing myself to pay out for in ZARA, but found these beauts in Primark for £12! I could not believe it, I did not expect to find them, I was only walking through to get to ZARA, but was pleasantly surprised! With the lace top I want to wear a simple shoe, so I wore my Christian Louboutin 120mm Pigalles in Nude, this is a shoe design you can find anywhere, do not feel you have to splurge to repeat this outfit girls... It really is not necessary.
I wore rose gold jewellery because I just feel Rose Gold compliements a pale pink so well, so as soon as my top came and I see it was a pale pink, I just thought... Rose gold it is!

MAKE UP OF THE NIGHT

MAKE UP OF THE NIGHT

This was one of the first posts I wrote when I first started my blog, and I haven't done a make up of the day post since, to be totally fair during exam season I have no life outside college, so make up has not been an everyday thing to show you...

I went to Sheesh in Chigwell last night, and it has been ages since I have been able to dress up so I was super excited to get my contour kit out! My outfit was a pinky nude, so it obviously called for the Naked 3 palette, and as every evening outfit... it called for a contour!

Firstly, I used my new favourite thing in the world, my LUSH face mask, which I will be dedicating a whole post too, because it just deserves it! So, that really softened my skin, as well as brightening, ready for a layer of my holy grail primer by the mothership that is Benefit Cosmetics, the Porefessional. I then used my "special occasion foundation" (sad I know) YSL Fusion Ink Foundation, I can't use this everyday, I feel too guilty, it is literally like applying silk to your face... I then moved on to my highlighting and contour. To highlight I used Mac Prolongwear Concealer in NC15 and blended with my Beauty Blender (this combo is the answer to all your contouring prayers!), and for my contour I used my Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit, I used the darkest shade to set a defined line, then the lightest to blend. Finally for blush I used my holy grail Dior "Rosy Glow" and a little bit of MAC "Pinch Me" at the top of my cheekbone.

Moving onto the eyes... I used Urban Decay Primer Potion (in Eden) to make sure the shadow stayed put, this is not an essential step, I do find a little concealer works well as a base too. I then used my Naked 3 Palette using shade Limit across my whole lid, and put shade Nooner through my crease. I then used shade Buzz on the lids to add a little shimmer, however to lessen the pinkness I then used my Naked 2 Palette, using Half Baked on my lid to add a tinge of Gold, and made my crease a little more dramatic with shade Tease. I do this whilst holding a paper card diagonally facing the end of my eyebrow so the shadow has a perfect line. I used lashes by Tanya Burr, which I love, everyone checkout her eyelash line.
I finally lined my lips with Mac Sublime and used my favourite lipstick Rimmel Moisture Renew shade 700 (this shade goes everywhere with me).
