QUESTION&ANSWER

MY FIRST Q&A

So I posted on my instagram that I was going to do a Q&A Blogpost and surprisingly got a huge response, and have set out to answer every single question I received! Looking through the questions they are mainly on Beauty but there are a few Fashion questions and Lifestyle questions... A lot of the questions were the same, worded differently but the same, so do not be disheartened as i just merged the similar questions together, all your questions have been answered!

What inspired you to start your Blog?
Over the past 2 years I have just become fashion and beauty obsessed, and felt I had strong enough opinions to share on both fashion and beauty. I felt it was the right time to start a blog, and it also keeps me in touch with my interests while I study A-Levels that have no relevance to fashion and beauty.

Who inspires you in life?
Good question! I find inspiration from anywhere and everywhere, when it comes to my blog I find inspiration from magazines, other bloggers, fashion shows, etc. General life inspiration I look for in my loved ones, of course. Oh and Oliva Pamlero if we are talking fashion, I love her!

Is your Blog a Career Choice?
Not necessarily, I would not turn down any career options my blog may happen to inspire, however my life long dream has always been to be a fashion buyer.

Would you work with any other Blogger's?
Of course! I haven't looked into blogger collaborations much since I've started my blog as my dedication is slipping away during exam season, but come June when I finish it will definitely be something I would consider.

Would you ever start a YouTube channel?
I haven't completely ruled out the idea, but for the moment I am comfortable in what I am doing. I might look more into it in the near future, but for the moment I am really happy with my blog!

Would you recommend any Eye Palettes?
My all time holy grail, whether it was £1 or £100 will always be the Urban Decay Naked Palettes! They are the best, well worth the money! When comparing to my MAC Palette, which was over £60, Urban Decay at just under £40 is SO much better. (I do love my MAC palette btw!) If we are talking drug store, I have recently discovered the brand "Revolution" and they have such fab eye palettes, I only have the matte palette, which I LOVE! If you are looking to buy one palette, for every day and every night, I would say the NAKED 2 Palette, as you have a variety of shades to create an everyday look, or a night time smokey eye, a versatile palette, well worth the money!

Do you recommend any Hair Products?
Okay, so hair really is not my forte BUT there are a few things I love. I use the John Freida Volume Root Booster Blow Dry Spray, The Heat Defence and their Hair Spray, and always find them fab! I love my Whitney Marie's extensions, I use to buy extensions all the time, and find that the extensions Whitney Marie kindly sent me, one pack is what I use to have to buy three for! Its amazing, I only use a 1/4 of the pack, my hair is long, but extensions make my hair look so much thicker! Also, I love Argon Oil, you can buy this in the 99p store, Primark, etc. It is really not a lot of money, and it does wonders for your hair!

Favourite Fashion and Beauty Bloggers?
Ooh, good question! Beauty wise I love Shaaanxo's YouTube Channel, and Lauren Curtis, I do love Australian Blogger's in case you didn't notice! Also, I LOVE TANYA BURR, I am literally obsessed, Fashion wise I don't really have a favourite, I read so many, but I love Megan Cawe and Sarah Ashcroft, I would say my style is very like there's, where as other blog's I love I look at and think you look fabulous, but I could never pull that off!

Favourite Make Up Brand?
Another good question! I have different favourites, for different products really! Favourite for foundation is YSL, although everytime I buy one I feel guilty using it for everyday use, but the YSL Fusion Ink Foundation is amazing! If I had to say one I'd have to say YSL, I love there foundation's, lipstick's, lipgloss's, blusher's, the whole brand is amazing. However, I love Benefit so much, and I LOVE Rimmel for mascaras, I literally never buy mascaras elsewhere!

Best Fake Tan for a Natural Look?
I use Bronze Godess at home spray tan, I bought this in home bargains for just £7,99 and haven't looked back since! One layer will give you the perfect colour, other tans I love are Garnier Summerbody, Rimmel Instand, St Moritz and I am dying to try Bondi Sands, which has recently come to superdrug!

Favourite Cream Eyeshadows?
I love cream eye shadows as they work as a priming base, yet contribute to the colour as well! I have tried a few, but always come back to the Maybeline Colour Tattoos, they are the best, although Mac Paint Pots are fab, but out of the two I would always reach for Maybeline Colour Tattoos.

Is the Anastasia Brow Pomade better then a Brow Pencil?
I find that this has been the best brow product I have found for a while, but I do have my good and bad days with this product, I have this with all products though, its a brow thing! It is a lot less convenient than a brow pencil, but it creates a much smoother more, natural looking brow, and it glides on your brow and is super easy to work with 9 times out of 10. Would definitely recommend!

Favourite High End Brand?
YSL is my all time favourite, when it comes to high end, everything about their products are pure luxury, even the packaging.

What Make Up Brands are you dying to try?
Armani! I've heard so much praise about there make up and have never tried, and Marc Jacobs. Also, there are many over seas brands I would love to try such as Austraillis, Ben Nye, Physians Formula, etc. a lot of American brands!

Rate the Anastasia Beverly Hills Kit out of 10, and Why?
10! It's amazing! I am always one to contour so I like an everyday contour and a dramatic one for when I go out, the same with highlighting, this kit can cater to all my needs as well as being an excellent product that lasts on the skin and creates amazing definition and highlighting.

How Do You Decide Whether or not to Splurge on an Expensive Fashion/Beauty Item?
Okay, with fashion items I always ask myself... Will I wear this? How many times will I wear this? What do I have already that I could wear this with? Normally, when I go out out I do not re wear so I do not mind splurging on an outfit I will wear once as I tend to sell it on, as it is no longer use to me.
With Beauty items, I always look at what others have to say, what the brand itself claims about the product! I am quite good at talking myself out of beauty buys lately due to the huge collection I already have, but if it really tempts me I will splurge, but never on an item I know nothing about (apart from lipsticks! A nice shade can tempt me so easily!)

Favourite Place to shop Fashion and Beauty on Budget?
Beauty wise, of course Boots or Superdrug, but brand specifically I have been loving Revolution, and Rimmel and Maybeline will always be dear to my heart. Also, LaBelle-UK Cosmetics is my go to for beauty on a budget lately, as you are able to get American Drugstore Brands, for so cheap, normally you find people on eBay ripping you off.
Fashion wise I can always find something in New Look on a budget, two recent favourites are MissPap and PrettyLittleThing, both online boutiques, so cheap, yet you can always find something!

You Can Only Shop in One Store... Which one?
Oooh, thats easy! ZARA of course, every time I go in there I come to the conclusion that I need to own at least half of their newest collections. Can easily find a day or night outfit, head to toe, that will always be my one shop wonder!

Thank you for all of your questions, if I missed any, or you just have a few more Q's on your mind, don't hesitate to ask me!

OOTD

DAYTIME & NIGHTIME OOTD

I posted a little preview of my outfit yesterday on my Instagram and received loads of questions regarding details, so I thought I would share this outfit with you, as it really is perfect for summer.

I paired a Grey Cross-Over Sleeveless Blouse from H&M, I love this shade of grey, and wear it at any given opportunity! I paired this with a White Waistcoat, which I bought a while ago from ZARA (they have white waistcoats in stock now btw!) and I have just never worn, I have been waiting for the right weather but yesterday I just had to. To properly mix the white of the waistcoat and grey of the top, I added a white and silver Statement Necklace from @houseofjewelsUK on Instagram, I love it!

I wearing this outfit all day to go shopping, then visit a friend, and then  to go out for drinks later so I paired it with normal jeans, I was tempted to wear white jeans but it think this made it more appropriate for an all day wear, also I it's hard to get two exact whites, so that would've been a hassle! Finally I paired my much love Mink Grey OFFICE Extravaganze Loafers and my new loved bag from ZARA. To finish the look, I wore a selection of Silver Jewellery with a high pony for the day, then a low pony to sided for night, and a darker lip come night time.

LIP COLLECTION

LIP OBSESSION

Hi, my name is Aimee Smale and I am addicted to lip products,
My lip product collection is forever growing but I wanted to do a blogpost on this as I always get many questions regarding the lip products I use, and in ever depend on 1, I depend on 100s! My collection ranges from High End to Drug Store so I really think I have something for everyone, although WARNING: Lips are mainly nudes! I just love Nude Lips. In this blogpost there are many products, but I obviously can't review every single one, so comment below or let me know on my Instagram twitter or email what specific reviews you want to see!

So this is mainly all of it, I have a drawer below filled with lipsticks, but I don't really reach for those anymore so just wanted to show you my loved ones! One brand that does not feature in this picture is Rimmel London, I LOVE their moisture renew lipsticks and my holy grail is shade 700, nut it is always with me in my bag where ever I go! They are almost the same texture as YSLs Rouge Voluptè so I love them very much!

HIGH END LIPS

So let's start with these beauties, these are my high end lipsticks that's live on display on my little make up caddy in the background, and I just love the way they look on there, also these are lipsticks I tend to reach for so I like to have them right there as I do my make up!

MAC

Every girl needs a MAC lipstick or 10 in their life, they are amazing and not bad at all for just £15.50, if you are looking to splurge on your first branded lipstick... MAC is the one! My favourite is Kinda Sexy which is a matte dark nude shade, and I always love the wear! Whilst I do love the matte shades, your lips need to be in perfect condition to wear, as even the slightest chap or dryness is straight away show dryness off. I always apply Vaseline before I do my make up them when my make up is done, I then apply my lipstick mainly because I want the Vaseline to have dried and not take anything from the lipsticks texture, this step is vital for me when using matte lip products!

I have shades (from left to right) Shanghai Spice, Creme Cup, Blankety, Honey Love, Kinda Sexy, Coral Bliss and Syrup! First time lipstick buyers should opt for shades such as Creme Cup, as it is an easy to wear nude, and matches all complexions perfectly.

YSL

YSL is my absolute favourite brand, everything from them is pure luxury and quality, and the packaging is just such a beautiful bonus. I recieved a YSL Red Lipstick for Christmas the year before last, and that is where my lip collection began, and these will always be my FAVOURITE lipsticks.

I love the Rouge Volupte (4 along the middle) , just the normal Volupte, I do not tend to go for Rouge Volupte Shine as I have had once before, and I am not really a fan of super sheer lipsticks, I love a fab colour pay off! I have shades (from left to right) 13, 01, 33 and 15. I always wear Shade 13 as it is a pinky nude, not as pale on as 01 so doesn't wash me out if I haven't got my fake tan on (which is rare!). I always find these lipsticks stay on all day! In the YSL Glossy Stains which are the two glosses behind the Rouge Voluptes I have Pink Shade 07 and Deep Red Shade 37 these remind me of the Rimmel London Apocalips but are a lot less drying, 10x's more moisturising. I also have the Gloss Voulpte in Shade 15 which is a sheer gloss, so I would recommend a lip colour underneath, I wouldn't wear this product alone, however I love the specially shaped dome applicator, it makes the application so easy and smooth! Finally, my new recent love is shade 06 in the Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick, it is a nude, of course! Again, really wearable and lasts all day!

BOBBI BROWN

These lipsticks are PERFECT, with YSL I find that sometimes the texture is too buttery and with MAC I sometimes find the texture can be too dry, however I found my happy medium in Bobbi Brown, and I will definitely be investing in many other colours, I also LOVE their lip liners too!

I have shades (from left to right) Sandwash Peach 42, Beige 2 & Pale Pink 21. Beige 2 is my favourite, as it is like Kinda Sexy but a smooth finish, not really matte, so I have the best of both worlds between them two beauties! I would really recommend these lipsticks at £19, they are worth the splurge!

& A FEW OTHER LITTLE BITS

These are all miscellaneous pieces that are all fairly new, so I haven't really made a huge collection, apart from the Urban Decay Lip Junkie, which I love, when you buy a NAKED Palette you usually get a little sample of this or the eye primer, and that's how I first fell in love!

I recently got the Laura Mercier Wash Liquid Lipstick in I don't actually know what shade, it doesn't say and this was a gift, however it is a amazing! With this, I received the Dior Lip Maximiser that I love, it's like the Urban Decay Lip Junkie as it tingles and plumps lips, however this has no colour so can be used with any colour, which I love. NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Cruella and Rinugein I was given these by Sephora as a birthday present when I was in the states, how cute, I am yet to use the red, but I love the nude shade. Finally, are the Benefit Glosses, that matchtheir blushers, I got these in the gift sets, they are really buttery and long lasting.

DRUG STORE

LA GIRL

I am not going to go too into detail on these as my previous blogpost features these, but these matte beauts are amazing!

I have shades Iconic, Fleur, Fantasy and Instinct, gets these from www.lebelle-uk.co.uk

NYX

YOU NEED THIS BRAND! It's harder to get in the UK as it is American, but it is so good!

I have their Butter Glosses and honestly there is no lip gloss as of yet that I have found that even compares, by far the best! I have Shades 05 and 07. I also have their Matte Soft Lip Cream which is like the LA Girl Matte Liquid Lipsticks and any other Matte Lipsticks I have but so much more softer, it does not highlight any dryness on the lips. I also have a few of their lipsticks which I don't really like the colours I bought as I bought them online and misjudged, but I love the formula so creamy and long lasting

MILANI

I have never smelt a lipstick so beautiful, again this is a must have American Drug Store Brand

I have shades Fruit Punch and Nude Creme and I am so on the hunt for more, you can also get these at Labelle-UK.

Any more Lip Products I am missing out on? Let me know!

LA GIRL COSMETICS. HOW I CONTOUR & MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICKS

LA GIRL COSMETICS

You HAVE to try this brand! LA Girl is an American drug-store brand, that we do not sell in the UK, however you can find it on www.labelle-uk.co.uk for such a good price. Labelle-UK also stock other American brands such as Milani and NYX which are both amazing, I am so happy to have found this website! While I was in America I went into a CVS (check my CVS Haul blogpost) and found that I couldn't get everything I wanted, as it was all sold out! Literally most make up counters were empty, and when I asked it was the same very day they had restocked... Must be good stuff!
Labelle-UK kindly sent me the LA Girl Matte Liquid Lipsticks and the Pro Conceal Concealer to try out and review for you guys on my blog! I would also heavily suggest Milani lipsticks, which you can buy from Labelle-UK, they have an amazing texture, staying power and they are the best lipsticks I have ever smelt, plus the gold packaging is so luxurious for such a cheap brand! A lot of American drug-store brands are amazing, I don't know why, I just personally think everything about America is amazing, and maybe that explains their drug store amazing-ness.

LA GIRL MATTE LIQUID LIPSTICKS

I got shades Fantasy, Fleur, Iconic and Instinct. Fleur is my favourite, honestly I went Jet Skiing with this baby on and it stayed put! These remind me of the NYX Matte Lip Creams which I love, but they lock in place a lot more, although NYX feel a lot softer on the lips, but I love them both dearly. I would really suggest these little beauties. You can find both at www.Labelle-UK.co.uk! These are now my everyday got to lip products, and you NEED them in your collection, they are just £4.99 each!

PRO CONCEAL CONCEALER

Now lets talk CONTOUR! I can't believe how good a £4.99 concealer can be when it comes to concealing, highlighting and contouring. I normally love a cream highlight and a powder contour, but this stuff is so good! I used shade Toast, now this is for a serious contour, if your going for a everyday contour I would suggest a lighter shade. The products work so beautifully together, however you do need to work quickly, I found the contour shade became hard to blend after a while, but I was taking photos to show you guys, everyone else would just normally get on with it! For my highlight I used shade Natural and this was so good as both a concealer under my foundation, and a highlight over my foundation... what a steal!

You can see how well the products blend, like a match made in heaven. The design of the product is really helpful as it has a brush tip so the product can be easily applied, and the contour can be applied to the correct areas with no mess what so ever. The middle photo shows you how I contour... I always contour to create definition in the face as well as contouring parts of my face where the sun would normally tan. I feel applying a darker shades to the temples of your forehead really frames your face creating definition, as well as defining your cheekbones by contouring the underneath. I also contour my nose, not because I want to make my nose look skinnier as that doesn't happen for me, but just to add some colour in the middle of my face, because I am doing a very pale highlight on either sides of my nose, for my under eyes. I highlight my under eyes, chin, forehead and bridge of my nose to highlight these areas of my face and compliment my contour. I love contouring with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Powder Contour Kit, but I am really reaching for these a lot more lately!

Get yours from www.labelle-uk.co.uk for great products and great service!
